How much does a t-shirt cost?

There are several factors that go into pricing an imprinted t-shirt, or any other garment. The main components in determining your cost may include: garment weight or quality, quantity ordered, number of ink colors, number of print locations and color of garments (darker colored garments tend to cost more then lighter colors). Due date requirements and amount of pre-press work involved are also factors in determining a final price.

Does the shirt size affect its cost?

It is a general industry standard that garment sizes in 2XL, 3XL and higher will cost more then the prototypical adult sizes Small, Medium, Large and XL. You can expect to pay between $1.00 to $3.00 more for sizes 2XL and an additional $.50 to $1.50 for each size up after that. The same thing in reverse applies to youth sizes, which generally cost less than adult sizes.

What is an underbase and do I have to have one?

An underbase is a layer of white ink that is applied under the final ink colors. It is used on fabrics of mid-tone to dark colors. Although screen-printing ink has greater opacity than inks used to print on paper, it is still not capable of completely covering the underlying color of darker fabrics. This can make a normally bright color look dull. The underbase creates a white surface under the ink so that the ink color retains its intensity. When white is the final color, a ‘double-hit’ of white achieves the same look as an underbase. We can print without the underbase if the client specifically requests it, as for the purpose of achieving a worn or washed-out effect, but otherwise we strongly advocate using it.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Production time for screen-printed and embroidered items is approximately 14 working days from final art approval. Depending on production schedules and the time of year, turnaround times could be a couple of days sooner or later. Full production is influenced by order volume, so please contact us to obtain exact turnaround times. Shipment of goods can also influence when your items are delivered, so please allow for shipment time when placing your order. Promotional items have their own production time ranging from a few days to a couple of weeks.

Can I get samples for sizing?

Yes, and we recommend doing that when you are not sure of the sizes that you need. We can provide samples for sizing that may not always be in the exact color you want and are generally blank. You can use the samples to try on and determine the sizes you need. All samples are to be returned at the time of order placement. If they are not returned, you will be charged for the missing items.

How much will my shirts shrink when I wash them?

Almost all of the garments we use are pre-shrunk. Some additional shrinkage may occur depending on washing and drying conditions. Washing and drying instructions are printed on the tags of the garments and it is highly recommended that you follow those directions. In general, washing in cold water and drying on a low setting will cause minimal shrinkage. Washing your clothes inside out is also suggested. We will not accept any returned items that that have been washed and dried.

Will I be charged freight on my order?

Depending on the quantity and time constraints of your order, you may be charged freight. Larger orders generally receive freight discounts allowing you to avoid those additional charges. You will be made aware of any estimated freight charges at the time your order is placed. Any completed jobs that are shipped to the customer will incur freight charges. We can provide an estimate on those shipping charges.

Will you deliver my goods?

We will deliver your completed order if the delivery is local. You will be charged a delivery fee of $5.00 to $10.00, depending on the location. You will be made aware of all delivery charges at the time the request is made. Farther delivery distances may be subject to higher charges, thus making it more economical to have your products shipped or arrange to pick them up personally.

How long will the imprints last on my shirts?

Only the best industry quality inks and manufacturing equipment are used for our screen-printed apparel. Depending on the washing methods used the printing will generally outlive the t-shirts. There will always be a slight dulling of the print due to a process called fibrillation. When washed and dried, cotton fibers make their way to the surface of the print, giving it a slightly dulled appearance when compared to an unwashed print. This is an unavoidable side effect of printing on fabric.

I need my shirts in less than a week — is that a problem?

It will depend on our production schedule. Repeat jobs are easier to turnaround in that time span. If we can fit your rush order in the production schedule we will be more then happy to do so, but the job may be subject to a rush charge. Also, additional shipping charges may apply in order to meet your deadline.

Can I order less than 12 pieces?

Due to the time required in artwork and set up, we do not normally accept an order of less than 12 pieces, unless it is a reorder. Depending on the production schedule and time of year, a minimum order may be accepted, but is subject to additional charges and fees.

What if I receive a defective item or my order is shorted?

All claims for shortages, defective items or incorrect sizes must be made within seven days of receiving the goods. After the claim is received we will replace the defective item and correct any shortages within a timely matter.

How do I pay for my order?

We accept cash, checks, VISA, and MasterCard as forms of payment. Orders are to be paid for upon pickup or delivery. Terms for payment may also be granted with prior approval and may be applicable to a 50% deposit.

Can I return sizes that don't fit?

An imprinted item cannot be returned because of incorrect sizing. We offer samples for sizing, so if you are unsure about the sizes you need, we will be more than happy to provide any samples needed.
